HEX FINISH NUT
A standard six sided hex 'finish' nut, for use with bolts or threaded rod.

HEAVY HEX NUT
Heavy hex nuts have a larger AF (across flat) or spanner size and are thicker than a finish nut.
Generally used in timber applications where a heavy duty nut to provide additional strength is required.
Stocked sizes: 1/4 - 1"
HEX JAM NUT
A hexagonal jam nut - these nuts are thinner than a standard finish nut, and are normally used in conjunction with another nut to lock into place on a bolt/thread.
When a jam nut 'locks', it results in a slight distortion of the thread on the nut, which stops it from undoing due to vibration/movement. For this reason, a jam nut should always be replaced, not re-used once removed.

HEX FLANGE NUT
A serrated hex flange nut has an integrated flange or protrusion design that acts as an integrated washer, and enables the load placed on the nut to be spread over a larger area.
In addition the flange has a serrated surface to 'lock' the nut in place.
HEX NYLON LOCK NUT
A solid Silicon bronze hex nut with a nylon locking insert that is slightly smaller in diameter than the screw, which 'locks' onto the thread when tightened.
Ideal in applications where vibration or motion could loosen or undo the nut. The nut can also be used to assist sealing the bolt thread against seepage of oil, water, petrol, paraffin and other liquids.
The side of the nut without the nylon ring is threaded onto the bolt first.
ACORN NUT
A decorative acorn or dome nut - these nuts have a large hex with a smooth dome top.
Ideally suited for a decorative finish or where you need a safe smooth finish to a bolt.

A four sided square nut, with bevelled corners on one side, ideal for a unique finish on your project.
Stocked Sizes: 1/4 - 3/8
