A heavy hex nut is made from a larger diameter hex across the flat (AF) and is thicker/taller than a standard finish nut.
The wider diameter AF provides a superior load-carrying capacity, strength and durability under stress, by increasing the area of load distribution, while the additional height increases the number of threads engaged.
Its six-sided hexagonal shape offers ease of installation and tightening with standard tools.
Made from solid silicon bronze, it combines excellent resistance to corrosion, especially in marine and harsh chemical environments, with reliable mechanical performance.
